​Crocodile

Crocodile is a game for a big company. The host shows a word only with the help of gestures. Who guesses it -- chooses the one who leads the game next. Anya comes up with a difficult word for Lisa. This New Year's Eve turns into a test of their friendship.

Kateryna Gornostai has graduated from the Kyiv-Mohyla University in Kyiv and the School of Documentary Film and Theatre in Moscow. She is currently working as an associate teacher for the master's course "Documentary and Factual TV" at Kyiv-Mohyla University. Among her seven short and medium-length films to date, Away (2015, 11 min) won Best Ukrainian Film at Wiz-Art Film Festival, Best Acting at Odesa International Film Festival, and Best Ukrainian Short at Molodist International Film Festival. Her latest fiction short Lilac (2017, 30 min) received a Special Jury Mention and the FIPRESCI Prize for Best Ukrainian Short Film at Odesa International Film Festival. Now Kateryna works on her full-length fiction debut "The Floor Is Lava" (2020) - the personal based story about teenagers.
