It's a film about women dealing with their own power. It follows the story of three women: Nina, a girl of 6 y.o, her mother Tonia, and her mother's new friend Vera, a mysterious woman who appears in Nina's life and changes it dramatically.
Received Hubert Bals Fund development grant 2022. Received Best Pitch Award at Odesa IFF 2021.
Born in Kyiv, Ukraine in 1982, Marina graduated Karpenko-Kary National University of Film,Theatre and Television (Film Department, specialty: director, studio masters: V. Popkov and I. Fabish) in 2004. Further, Marina worked at the experimental theatre “School", where she studied the methodology of working with non-actors. She completed a 6-month ARCHIDOC program for documentary filmmakers at the French film and television school La F.mis.
She has made a few short films. Her scripted feature debut “Falling" received several awards at the international film festivals and 3 awards of the National “Golden Dzyga" in 2017-18.
